Is it okay to list my house for sale under "owner" when I have an agent?

Profile picture for user5325633
Hello,I am a new user on Zillow. I am trying to put my house up for sale, but am not sure how to create my account. I have an agent; but would it be alright for me to make my account as the "owner"? Thank you

If you advertise the house yourself, then all the phone calls and emails would go to you and not your agent. And that's why you've hired an agent - to take the phone calls and emails.

Yes, it's totally okay for you to make an account and post your listing yourself, but I would consider this your agent's job that is part of value of hiring us.  In all fairness, your agent will probably have the information  populated from the MLS they use, but there could be a little delay from when the MLS has the listing and when it will be uploaded into the Zillow system.

Ideally, you will prefer that your agent is the one the sets up your listing, because, I'm sure that if you hired an agent in the first place, you were preferring that the agent gets the calls and questions in order to navigate and control the buyers in the right direction for your sale's success.

When buyers and sellers get to talking directly...well, it's hard to keep your "poker face", you know what I mean?

visit with your agent about it.  You may want the agent to do the listing on here.   Otherwise if you want to do it yourself you just claim the listing and do it.  If the agent has claimed the listing already you'll need them to release it,

I would reccommend that if you do list it, go to www.postlets.com and list it there.  It's simple to do , instructions are pretty good and postlets will list it on zillow FOR you.
