That is indeed a problem.   Perhaps I'm tough as a landlord, but from talking with others they all require all information from both applicants and reject applications with missing information.   I'm not in NC, perhaps the landlords are more lenient.

If the two of you are planning to occupy the apartment, you should provide information from both of you with both names on the application, not scores from one and income from the other. 

I shudder about possibilities for renting sight unseen.   Good luck.

so i can apply online and use my credit information and he can move in whenever when we get it ok. Im also curious because i dont work since im a student so i would be using his information for the income part is that possible?

yes it is...  contact the leasing office / realtors office and the agent responsible for the unit. Be prepared to fax or scan & email your documents.  It's done all the time.
