Is it possible to find a lender for a VA home loan with a credit score of around 570?

I am looking for an agent out there who can lend in Texas for a VA loan to an individual with a poor credit rating.

Your credit score is close for a VA loan. The lowest credit scores lenders like myself are able to do for VA loans is a score of 580. Since your scores are a bit below, you may want to work your score up. Also there are other financial factors that would need to be analyzed including your income, expenses, assets, liabilities, debt, employment, down payment, as well as credit scores. If all of these factors are in place then you should be good to go but it can depend on further inspection of your judgments. The best thing for you to do is to speak with a knowledgeable lender to see if you can get started on financing a new home. If you need additional assistance, feel free to reach out. Good luck!

I would strongly suggest to get with a Lender that can help you review "why" you are a 570 score.  There might be some old things reporting that are incorrect, or you can open some positive items that will give your score the needed boost!

You can obtain a free copy of your credit bureaus once per year by going to www.annualcreditreport.com.

Good luck!

Thank you for serving our country!

We have special benefits for our Veteran families and we finance down to a 550 credit score. Most lenders are capped at 580 due to there overlays as VA guidelines don't have a credit score requirement. I am happy to make home ownership possible for your family. Please reach out to me through Zillow or post on here so others can learn from your experience.
