Yes- It depends on the down payment and or equity. There are lenders out there that will lend. The difference in today's market is that you will need at least 20% down if not more.

Jumbo loans are available. Your down payment will need to be 20% or more. 25% down gives you the better interest rate and programs.

Robert Crecelius, Jax Real Estate Buyers Agent, just found a great rate through Compass for Professionals. His thread is here.
Hope this qualifies as "good, pertinent advice" for the good of the public.

yjc168,
Yes, you can. Most of the rates are not so good as compared to Conventional or High Balance Conventional. But, there are a few niche lenders that have some good programs.
Brad Officer,
How about keeping to the borrower's question and not trying to advertise "Your" broker? That really isn't allowed on ZMM. What is allowed is to give good, pertinent advice to borrowers and not to advertise yourself or others.

I've got a great mortgage broker if you need one. The latest news on Jumbo Loans has not been the best. There was a good report yesterday on Fox News I believe about most banks cutting down to 50% down on Jumbos.....again, talk with a mortgage broker.
