Is it true that the last day for the ZMM CIC charges was 11/10/10?

That is the last day I see those charges listed on the Zillow LoanRequestSearch page.

If someone contacted one that had a CIC charge posted after that date, would the loan officer not be charged?

CIC stands for "Customer Initiated Contact", and was charged per E-mail, or per use of one of thousands of 800 numbers that Zillow paid for and had to record and listen to every time there was a dispute.

The charges now are supposed to be per click by the requester to the quote provided, which is not a "Customer Initiated Contact" as the viewing of the quote does not mean that the customer will contact the loan officer that provided the quote.

Again, the question was about the date of transition, and whether there was any "carry over" on the existing quotes that had a CIC charge listed in the loan request search.

As for why I care; I never saw how the previous model was going to work, and thought it was a waste of Zillow resources, and that it only drove up the quote amounts to cover the contacts, which meant that people requesting the quotes were not getting competitive quote rates.

I think the new system may work better for Zillow and for the consumer; but I'm still not convinced that there isn't gaming going on and people just running up costs for certain robo-quoters, or those that post things that others don't like.

By the way, only the "confirmed lenders" can be receiving the "CIC" charges, or even the new "quote click" charges as only the "confirmed lenders" can provide quotes.

We still pay charges. Its just structured differently now. The lenders are paying about the same that they were before. My costs have gone up a little, but not too much. Its close to the same costs as it was before.

So have all the CIC charges stopped now?   Anyone still being charged CIC charges?  Did they end on 11/10/10?
