For the average homeowner? Yes! For the company that specializes in mold removal? No!

Mold can be a serious issue so I would recommend having a company that specializes in mold removal handle the problem. They have special chemicals, etc... that will remove all signs of mold and prevent mold from returning.

If you're buying a home with evidence of mold be careful that a company that specializes in removal fixed the problem. If you are a seller and your home has mold make sure you check references, etc... of any companies.

Best of luck!

If you have light mold in a small area on top of some drywall it is relatively cheap and easy to get rid of.

If your walls are filled with the stuff it may be cheaper to burn the house and start over.

It all depends how bad it is.

Before you try to get rid of the mold on the walls or floors, you need to determine why mold is growing.  High moisture levels and water damage causes mold to grow.  First eliminate the source of the mold and then clean the mold with a bleach and water solution to kill the mold.  If mold is on carpet, insulation, or fabric get rid of it.  For cleaning wood and sheet rock: 1 part bleach for 10 parts of water

Mold is an easy fix for the professional. Have a company that does mold remediation visit the site to make a recommendation.

It depends on the type of mold.   Do wish to offer more information?

If there is a moldy peach in my fruit bowl, it is pretty easy.   If the shower stall is moldy, it is moderate.   If it is mold penetrating drywall and studs, it is difficult.
