Hello,
This is a tricky question! Sometimes I recommend that my sellers install a new kitchen in order to sell their home for the best price and the shortest period of time, and other times I don't think that a new kitchen is the best solution for a home sale.
Is the buyer going to be pleased with the selections that the seller has made? Yet, buyers these days are so busy that they don't have the time and/or don't want the hassle of putting in a new kitchen.
I take this question on a case by case basis with my sellers, depending on price range, condition of the existing kitchen, the likelihood that the buyer is going to insist on a new kitchen, and the possibility that a buyer may want to install their own kitchen.
Recently a seller asked me if they should install a new kitchen. I recommended that they install a high end French Drain system instead, since there was water in the basement and they had a limited budget to spend on preparing their home.
Best,
Laura

Its also depends on the location. In the north east if you can spend 12k on a kitchen or 12k on a garage. When i was shopping i would have gone for the garage over a kitchen every time.
with the snow and need to store snowblower which are bulky machines a garage is worth more than say a nicer kitchen

Is that Remodel Worth it??

*What you do - If you are thinking of sprucing up those 50 year old cabinets with some new knobs, that probably isn't going to get you very far. However, kitchen remodels are the number one way to improve the look and resale value of your home. Which kitchen would you choose from the picture above? An updated kitchen appeals to a buyer's emotions and a homeowner's wallet because it can give you an 80 to 100 percent return on your investment (Source : TLC).....
