Is the Neighborhood Gold program still available in Texas? With baby on the way, we would like to move by December into a specific area (I even have houses saved on Realtor.com).My middle credit score is currently around 620 and has been on a sharp rise as I have been getting collections deleted from my reports left and right. It went up 70 points last month and should jump another 60 or so in the next month and a half. Hopefully, I can keep this up.There are two major issues that make me worry I will have to keep renting for another year or so:(1) until recently our rental history wasn't good due to layoffs -- we will finish paying the backrent entirely next month; however, our landlord is someone we know from the community who would write a character recommendation for us if needed(2) We can only save a small amount for a down payment (too little even for FHA guidelines)Is there any hope using the neighborhood gold FHA program, piggyback loans... anything?
