The tax credits are not being extended this time The Federal Tax credit end today. You must be in contract TODAY and close by June 30th to take advantage of this tax credit. The California Tax credits start tomorrow, but will likely be completely used within the first couple of weeks. Be careful of people telling you you can get these credits. It is very unlikely unless you are expected to close next week.

That is a great question. There is a lot of talk about the credit deadline being extended. I am getting slammed with buyers who are trying to make the current deadline and I know that there are several potential buyer that would be able to take advantage if the credit was extended for a few months.
