Right on Sheri. I've pretty much kicked this guy to the curb. Then, I kinda felt bad because I was wondering if something bad happened or if he's ok....guess I try to see the good in everything but...still don't have a good feeling about him. So, I'll probably use my refund money to pay my way into a REIA or two. Thanks for everything!

Typically REIA is a great place to start because there will be a variety of investors from wholesalers to cash purchasers and everything in between. Maybe you should consider working with someone that is interested in sharing the profits on your first several deals to help mentor you. That way you're not forking out $3k and not making any money but can also have access to someone that can help you. It's a tough market to break into and having a team that includes an attorney that is familiar with wholesale closings and willing to do them will help as well.

Hey,
I have not payed him any money, fortunately. I also did speak with someone from the Charlotte REIA and they told me to stay away from him. However she does the Rich Dad training which I'm not about to pay $3000 for. So I was thinking maybe some competitive bias, then again I'm starting to agree with her. I'm doing ok on my own, but now I'm ready to hook up with someone. I found a good realtor to work with, so I'm excited about that. Just ready to get things done. I know your in Raleigh, do you know any one in Charlotte? And yes I will go to some REIA meetings in the future, I work full time so I'll have to try and schedule myself different. Thanks so much for your help Sheri! :)

Have you paid money to this "mentor"? Are you a member of the Real Estate Investor Assoc? They typically have several veteran wholesalers? As a broker I work with several that refer deals to my cash buyers all the time. I would be happy to hook you up with someone here in Raleigh that may be able to help. Feel free to contact me here through Zillow and I can help send you in the right direction.
