Zillow does not support VA loans, so it will be tough if you are financing greater then 96.5% to get legit quotes.  I would probably recommend using the Zillow directory and checking all feedback.

Kimberly makes a good point to make sure the lender authorized to approve VA appraisals (LAPP).   Many companies do VA loans, but it is also important to pick a LO that is experienced with VA loans.

Zillow good neighbor policy suggests you post a Loan request, highlighting in the notes you are eligible for Veterans Administration loan products. You will received good quotes from many lenders that are certified by the VA to do your loan. I hope this helps! Jim

You may want to first check with the bank where you do your banking.  If they do not do VA then definetely check with your agent.  Majority of recent sales have been FHA and VA.

nope....but you can find out a lot of information at www.VA.gov
The main questions you need to ask the lender is 1) do you do VA loans
(even if they answer yes here - if they say no to next one move on)
2) are you LAPP approved ( Lender Appraisal Processing) if they act like they don't know what you're talking about - you can try asking if they underwrite the loan locally or if they have to send it out to another party for underwriting approval.  If they send out - move on find a LAPP approved lender -

Contact a local REALTOR who is a buyer's agent - they can help you find a great lender and represent you and your interest with any builder.

Do a google search for your area for an ABR (Accreditted Buyer's Representative) or CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) - Be sure to ask if they have worked with VA financing....

Hope this helps...Kimberly
