I would not hire an agent based on their volume of sales, but rather on other contributing factors that are important to you as part of the services you expect from an agent. Remember that the higher the amount of sales the less time per client can be allocated if you are high maintenance do not choose a Top Producer but rather an eficient professional that can deliver. You also want to ask one of brokers how many transactions does the average agent do a year that will give a better understanding of the volume of sales. Good luck!

While I agree sold volume is not the only reason to choose your agent, it certainly helps to have an agent with a proven track record of selling homes. You can ask any agent to pull their mls statistics and provide to you. I cant imagine why any well-performing agent would be against such a request.

Don't choose a Realtor specifically on volume. There are some agents that do a ton of volume, but they'll lure you in, and then hand you off to their "team". You'll often find that their team members have less experience, knowledge, and people skills (they aren't all these way, there's some amazing teams out there).
I'd suggest basing your Realtor choice based on quality of service, experience, and knowledge of your specific area. An agent that has sold 8 homes in your neighborhood over the past year may work far better than an agent that sold 100 homes across the county in the past year.

There is no public list. You can ask the Realtor. However, the number of listings sold should not be a determining factor. Volume means nothing. You want to ask questions such as: years in the business, full time or part time, real estate designations, marketing plans, etc. One of the most important criteria should be do you get along with this agent. When you are working with an agent, it is like being married to that agent. You will have many frank and confidential conversations. You will sometimes agree and sometimes disagree. You will be like family. Good luck!

Yeah don't only use the number of transactions as the deciding factor when choosing an agent. I know many agents who sell a LOT of homes that I would absolutely never...ever...hire myself if I were selling my own home, and many agents who do more middle of the road production, or even comparably low production that I would trust without any question.
You want someone who knows what they are doing, knows the marketplace in your area, understands the real estate transaction backwards and forwards. You also want someone that you personally like and trust, because you're going to be working very closely with them.
I can tell you out of all the agents I know, if I were to hire one who was not me to list my home...the agent I would hire isn't a huge producer at all.
Good luck!

As far as I know, there is no public list out there. However, if you "Google them" you should be able to get a sense of what they are all about. Also, do not discount newer agents. If they are backed by a good broker who helps them on a daily basis, you should be OK. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable with them and they are comfortable with you. If I were not an agent, I would look for someone who is busy but not terribly busy. You want to be sure yo get the attention you deserve.

Hello, I do not believe this information is public. It is available for realtors to view on the Multiple Listing Service. You can search Zillow for recently sold but that will only show you the agent who had the home listed. There could be a buyer agent involved. The buyer agent can bring the buyer and they split the commission with the selling agent. If you want to know the selling record of an agent. It is best when interviewing an agent to ask them what their statistics are and they can provide that for you. ( I recommend interviewing 3 agents before deciding) Keep in mind that to fairly determine an agents record it would be best to also ask for the number of homes sold for a certain period also. That will give you a better indication of an agents ability. Since the market is quite different in all towns that information will assist in finding the right company / agent to work with. Also the National Association of Realtors has stated that 90% of all home buyers begin their search on the internet - so check out their online Marketing as well.
Don't discount the new agents coming into the market either! They have lots of potential and they can be eager to sell and do a good job for you too!
Hope that helps!

You can ask the Realtor(s) you are interviewing to bring a list of the properties/ buyers that they have represented either as listing or selling agent. Each should be able to print it out for you via their MLS.
All the best!
All the best!

Is there a list of what realtors have sold?
