Is there a way to see what a new home builder has charged others for the same model home as mine?

In addition to the good points made so far, to go to public records, and ask a local expert, which are correct I would like to add:

Ask the builder's rep how much the first homes sold for since builders often discount pre-construction and also discount homes already built called spec homes.

Also ask what amenities those homes had, and ask how the home you wish to buy compares with those sales.  The builder's salesperson will be happy to tell you if you are getting a more discounted price with more amenities.  If they don't, then......

If the Builder has the home listed within the local MLS and in most cases it is not, then another option will be Public Records..

You can ask your agent to get comps for you, but any price of a sold new construction will not include the upgrades that are usually paid outside the contract directly to the builder.

Your local pva will have the sale price, but keep in mind they will not detail any of the upgrades that where included.  Some builders allow upgrade costs to be included in the price of the home, instead of paying for them upfront. Your real estate agent can pull up the recent sales and contact the builder to see if the price included upgrades.

Reviewing public records, i.e. property tax values is a start.  Some bullders list their homes via local real estate agent (MLS - Mulitple Listing Service) and you can ask a local expert to provide details of newer homes sold in your area.   I've also requested this information directly from national builders and have received sold data so I can assists sellers and buyers in the area.  Not all builders will provide this information to realtors, but doesn't hurt to ask.
