Some towns have great online resourses that can provide you with that information.
If that fails, you can always speak to a Realtor in your area, who would be able to access that information for you.

One of the best ways to find out how much a home last sold for is to check the county records. Not all states are full disclosure states - you may have to check with your Realtor for that information.

Ask a Realtor©, we know by the history within our mls.
Very good when we are representing the buyer, but only a guideline in the real world.
Market is the current market, the past is just a history.
What has sold in and around the property you are interested in the last 6 months is your best indicator.

If you type in the home address and then open the property details, you can find this information for all states except non-disclosure states.
Is there a website that will tell you how much the previous owner paid for the house?
