Is your Georgia real estate agent using the correct contract form?

Over the years the Georgia Association of Realtors (GAR) has provided the real estate community with standard boiler plate contract forms which were both fair for the buyer and seller. In the beginning of the year, GAR restricted the uses of these forms to only dues paying members. Many agents are not members and cannot legally use these forms. There is an alternate standard contract currently in use which is not as comprehensive as the GAR contracts and can actually hurt you in a transaction. Look for the GAR logo on the contract your agent uses. I am a member of the GAR so all my forms I use area GAR sanctioned. Have you any experience with the new contracts? Please share your thougths.

I'm using the new GAR forms; there have been some great additions this year! So glad I'm a member and have access to all this expertise!
