Island Real Estate & Property Management inc. is wondering....

Why do realtors take so long to get back with buyer leads?  How long do you usually make your buyer wait?  How long is too long?

I try to respond as soon as I see the request hit my smart phone. As with any business there are times when you're tied up with a client and can not respond as quickly as you would like too or maybe you're in a Closing or driving in heavy traffic or something similiar and can not respond as quickly. But other than some acceptable scenerio, I respond as quickly as I receive the communications.

How long is "so long" in your experience?    Are you talking minutes? Hours?  Days?  Months?

Buyers today expect prompt responses to their serious queries from technology capable agents. I usually respond within an hour. "A day late a dollar short" sums it up well.

the longer you take the more likely it is that they moved on and found someone else that will respond quickly.  even if that other person responded with  "hello...I am on appointment bla bla bla and will get you some info and reply better in just a bit"
