Ask your realtor for a conservative estimate of your new home's current value and an estimate of your selling expenses. If the amount is less than your disdain for the new neighborhood (after any possible taxes for gain - who knows?!), by all means, move back. Another option is to sell both and find something that suits you better than either of the homes your currently own. You must feel out sorts with one foot in each house.

The only other option would be to rent it out. But probably you would do better just to dump it and even if it costs you some money you will enjoy life much more.

Believe me. If I had a time machine, I'd go back to two months ago and stop the whole thing. I'm just glad I didn't buy a much more expensive house in the same neighborhood as I was originally planning. This house happened to be a bargain priced significantly lower than comparables in the neighborhood. If I'm lucky, It's possible I could actually break even with some painting and window replacement.

If you are unhappy this quickly, I'd put the "new" house on the market and move back to the old house. This will be a very expensive change of heart.

If you are this unhappy I would recommend having a different realtor evaluate the cost of selling this home and look at how much you will loose. Considering you just bought the home and will need to explain why you are moving you will need someone who can disclose this without running others away that will not care if the neighbors are noisy. Better now that june when they may live in the street.
Just bought a 2nd house that I'm no longer crazy about. Should I sell and move back?
I currently feel like a prisoner in my own house even though it is much larger than my old house. My old house is currently listed for sale, but I'm beginning to think I should list the new house instead and move back even if it means losing thousands of dollars. Should I rough it out for a few more months and see if it gets better? I can only imagine the neighbors would be worse in warmer weather.
