KDH Lowers Water Tap Fees

On May 26th the Board of Commissioners approved reducing water tap fees by $1,000. Water tap fees were $5,000 and effective immediately the fees are now $4,000.  Now is a GREAT opportunity to list /buy your vacant lot!

That seems extremely high, even at the lower price of $4000.

I thought the Bolivar Peninsula Special Utility District was high, but current posted rate for a 5/8" meter is only $950 and 3/4" $1045.

I am building a small house in the Beaumont, TX and water meter and sewer tap is about $650 combined.

$4000 is excessive, I wonder why so much.

Good Luck!

Plus we pay only $.43 per hundred in value as taxes each year so they make up a little on water taps.

I hope I could drill a well instead. It should be cheaper with no monthly water bill..
