Kailua, HI Home Values Skyrocketing??

The value of a home on Kaimalino Street in Kailua, HI 96734 jumped approximately $1,000,000 from 8/09-12/09. How can this be?  What could cause such a huge increase in 4 months?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

Dear Leigh, Kaimalino St is in Kailua, Oahu (as you probably know) so please disregard the other comment about Kailua-Kona on the Big Island. But as stated,  many of the stats on Zillow are incorrect, particularly for Oahu, I've noticed. If you;d like me to check the tax records and actual sales data for a particular address, please call me and perhaps I can help. Aloha.

Zillow's information is incorrect.  For the Big Island multiple "sold" listings are inaccurate and do not reflect the actual price that the proeprty did sell at.

Kailua-Kona has the highest foreclosure rate in the State of Hawaii.  I severly doubt any property rising in value that dramtically in the last 3 month period.
