There are some unique opportunities out there and people should be looking for them.
The bottom? Three years away -- there will be a mild uptick in economic activity in Q3 - Q4 2009. Then the bottom will drop out in 2010 and the ensuing depression will be greater than the 1930s.
We will have to come up with a new name for it -- "Great" is already taken. Perhaps "Greatest"? I suggest: the "Millenium" Depression. This will be the greatest world-wide disaster since the plague years of the middle ages.
Have fun kiddos. I suggest real estate agents cultivate a paying hobby. By and large you are good guys and gals, (and are smart), so I suspect you will be OK.

4 days does not a recovery make! we still need to get throught he 5 year arms... any idea when that will happen, try 2012! we got a ways to go... but there are some awesome deals out there right now!

I don't think I ever claimed that 4 days meant a recovery. My post was meant to be a call for action in our industry. Sadly, Zillow may not be the place for that. This is my last comunique on this matter.
