Listing my home on Zillow

Profile picture for chuckie5
I updated my home info, with additional comments etc, but had difficulty due to my listing price? A smaller model on the main entrance just recently sold in 2 dayys for full asking price $823,000.00 so what is the problem with my asking price?Incidently we have owned and sold 4 other homes as well.

I also filled out comments, highlights and most of the required information so what is the problem? Can I list with Zillow at my asking price or not?

Yes... you can list with Zillow.  But I highly recommend using an agent.  That way your listing is submitted to the MLS.  Every agent has access to that.  What's more your agent can list the property on zillow for you.

Hi,
You can certainly try to FSBO your house, and putting it on Zillow and Craigslist are a great idea. I'd also suggest making sure it's in the MLS also -- there are flat fee MLS companies where a FSBOer can list their home in the MLS for a small fee. One thing to keep in mind though about FSBOing -- agents really do add a ton of value in the sale process, not the least of which is in figuring out what to price the home for. FSBOing is a dangerous game, and most FSBOs "fail" and end up switching to using listing agents.
If you do try to FSBO your house, my other suggestion would be to offer a commission to buyside agents who bring you a buyer.

Good luck!
