Postlets is a great program, especially for new agents trying to get their 1 or 2 listings out there. For more seasoned agents, there is the gallery option under Postlets Pro (which became free July 12, 2011). The gallery option allows you to link all of your Postlets listings to one directory which you can then post to your webpage or blog. Fantastic tool!

So you do you have to be a premier agent on Zillow to be able to use postlets on Craigslist?

I like postlets. It links your listings to many sites I did not know about. The key to selling homes is exposure, and postlets helps.

Postlets has always been my office go-to listing publication tool. Linking Postlets with Zillow adds a ton of value to both services: Postlets feeds more current listing info through Zillow, and Zillow provides the context that helps folks make sense of listings (such as those posted through Postlets). That's a fantastic combination of services!

I just paid $39.95 to list my home on Zillow when before it was free, what
gives, I did it just to get it going since Craigs list didn't work.
Why are they charging, is it becomes I have no realtor ?

Zillow started charging for listings in late 2009. Hopefully soon one can get FSBOs from postlets to Zillow.
I read a Zillow employee's post mentioning that they started charging for manually added listings because they require much more support from Zillow staff than those that come through data feeds.

I am a homeowner. How do I list my house on Zillow? Thanks.

- wetdawgs
- Contributions:26833
@scobeegt: You can either pay ($39.95 for 180 d) for a featured listing (and it will appear also on yahoo real estate) by opening your property details page and then clicking on "post for sale/rent". OR you can go to www.postlets.com and use it to post on Zillow and many other sites. With postlets it does not appear as quickly (usually 24 to 48 h) and is not "featured" (i.e. doesn't pop to the top of the search list).

I used both Zillow and Postlets to Rent my home. Zillow is well worth the $40. Lot's of leads generated that way. Postlets was great too. Very easy to use and quick access to lots of other sites. I got several leads there too plus the add looks a lot more professional than just a text posting.
Highly recommended!

Another free way of posting is Vflyer, which honestly has much better flyer templates, better syndication and allows for more photos....at least on the free version.

I recently put 4 listings on postlets, but I'm having a hard time getting pictures on them. It is a jpg file and it's only 40 megabytes, but I still get error messages.
any suggestions??
