Looking for experienced contractor licensed in Washington DC for large FHA 203k project
Hi - I live in a row house in Washington DC and am considering turning my crawl space underneath into a fully legal separate one bedroom unit that I'll be able to rent out. Haven't been having that much luck with contractors - many don't want to deal with the FHA 203k program. And two of them that were great and agreed to work with the 203k, I later found out were not licensed in DC, which is could get me into all sorts of trouble.
Any suggestions??? I'd like to find someone solid with experience with this type of work who'll get the project done for a reasonable price (not going cheap by any means as there are structural issues likely involved, but also not looking for luxury renovation). Most importantly, the contractor must be licensed, insured, bonded in Washington DC.
