Erica,
Wow, this should not be and on behalf of my fellow colleagues, I do apolgoize for these unethical actions.
Since your agent appears to be uncooperative, I would recommend that you call the main number of the agency and ask for the broker .. . do not give your name or the name of the agent, just say I want to speak to the broker.
Depending upon how much time is left on your current contact most brokers will offer to reassign the listing to another agent, but rest assured the the initial agent will most certainly continue to have a financial interest in your listing, so therefore, I would a complete and "unconditional" withrawal of the listing releasing you for any and all obligations to the agent or his/her firm. YOU HAVE NO OBLIGATION to disclose your new agent of choice.
Don't them them bully you!

Dear Erica,
I'm so sorry you are having this kind of problems. Call his office number, normally there is a general phone number, and ask for the broker/manager of the office. If you have already hired a new agent, that agent should be able to help you get in touch with the manager of the first agent.

Erica, Next time be sure to interview several agents, not just one or two, to get the right match. I'm sorry to hear this is happening but it looks like you've been directed accordingly and the broker will provide a resolution. Best of luck.

Look on your listing agreement. The company name is on there on the last page. Then get in touch with his broker.
If this doesn't work, look up the local Board of Realtors in your county. Tell them what's been going on, show them copies of emails and letters between you and the agent. They will remove the listing from the MLS.
Then you will be free to list with someone else.

This is the type of behavior that give the true professionals a bad name. Any Agent that refuse to cooperate with the consumer or clients best interest should not hold a license.

If you're in California follow the link below.
California Dept of Real Estate
Put in your agents name (last name, first name) Follow the directions or it won't return a proper response.
If their license number comes up, click on the license number (left hand side) and it will send you to a screen that lists their 'employing broker'.
Call the broker.
