Making a offer lower than asking priceMy fiancé and I found a house we like, it currently is unoccupied, and we want to make an offer, here's my question, the house needs replacement windows, updates in both bathrooms and the kitchen as it hasn't been touched in about 35+ years, the furnace is also ancient but seems to work okay, and the house has asbestos shingles. It's a fixer upper but were prepared to do the work. The house is listed for 89k the house next door sold 4 years ago for 100k and was completely updated at the time of sale. If we were to come in with an offer for say 70k is that insulting? The home isn't worth what there asking based on the recent sales in the neighborhood.March 10 2014 - Endwell00YesReport a ProblemProblemSelect oneOffensive contentIrrelevant contentSpam (pure self-promotion)OtherDetailsYour emailPlease enter a valid email address.Submit CancelContent flaggedWe will review this content.
