This is a highly misleading ad, from a builder posting a price on a home that's not currently sale, but suggesting that he can build similar homes on your lot.

This is a misuse of Zillow - and I would not trust this contractor at all.

I agree with you that it would be a misuse of Zillow to do that. When I see houses like these, I flag them. There is a little gray flag in the corner of the agent information box that lets Zillow follow up on this type of post. There are always folk that will try to use any system to their advantage even if they are breaking rules in the process. Flags help call attention to them and hopefully get them removed if they are not legit.

*Please note, the price listed is the base price of the house not including land.

I find that extremely misleading especially in an area as expensive as Arlington. The land price would add hundreds of thousands to the "listing price". I'd like to see the builder and/or agent respond to PrincessWantsOut's concern. Can't wait to the excuse, err, explanation.

I agree with sunnyview, flag the ad as inappropriate.

Perhaps the house as a Flubber foundation, thereby allowing it to float above the land, and eliminating land and those pesky taxes?
Now, we just have to discuss the restricted airspaces in and around the Arlington area. Hope this helps! Jim
