The only folks to get hurt are the consumers. The unintended consequence of eliminating loan officer discrecsion in pricing is that loan officers can no longer choose to discount a rate for a well qualified buyer!
In an attempt to protect consumers from themselves and prevent lo's from over charging, they have increased the cost to all consumers. As an LO I used to have the option to share in the underage. Since we can't share it...who really thinks lenders/brokers are going to allow it!
