Mortgage Pre Approval

I'm a construction worker that has worked with the same company for 9 years. I get laid off in the winter months usually. I have a good credit history with a 730 score. I'm looking at a loan for 100,000 on 30k per year. I have 8k for closing and down payment.Am I a long shot for pre approval?

With a consistent workplace, oftentimes seasonal workers can be treated the same as any other borrower. Depending on your other liabilities (credit card payments, auto payments, etc.), I think that a 30 yr loan on 100k would be within your budget.
