My wife has a score of 715, I am at 607.  I got hit hard in 2008 and had months of delinquent payments.  I make double what wife makes but my credit is bad.  Has gone up though.  Since then everything has been good, thanks be to God.  We are starting to look for a home. We got a down payment ready and our income has been steady at about 115k.  But credit is bad. What is the best way to get about getting a decent loan rate, without getting too many credit hits?
