Move out of town before the end of lease...

I recently moved out of town two months before the end of the lease in Gainesville, fl.  I paid for both months.  I turned over the appartment to the land lord when I moved.  I have two questions.  After I moved but while I paid the rent, the rental company called the electric company and had the power moved back into their name.  Does that transfer owenership to the rental company and should I have paid the two months?  Also, the final walkthough wasn't completed untill almost two months after I moved out.  It was done on the last day of the lease.  They claimed extra charges for flee infestation but there were no flees when I moved out.  What can I do?  Can I do anything? Thanks

Yes, you should have paid the two months and no, there's probably not much you can do about the security deposit. I'm guessing that we're talking about a relatively small amount of money; it's probably not worth the time, cost, and aggrivation to pursue.
