Lisa, what a nice letter. I work in the Raleigh area so my suggestion would be for you to 'google' local Hope Mills real estate companies and then phone them to find an agent who knows the area and can help you with rentals. Unlike Florida and other parts of the country, agents around here get a minimum gratuity when helping renters and we do it more as a service.
There are a lot of wonderful professionals though who could at least help you with links to schools etc. Under Fair Housing we are not allowed to tell you what 'good and bad' areas are,but we do suggest you contact the local police to get crime statistics. that information is also available on line.
Also google Hope Mills , there might be some incredible information that comes up for you.
