Nope. Sit tight if you plan to sell in a few months.

If you are planning on listing the home for sale I would not refinance it. This will only increase the amount owed by adding closing costs and not much savings to you in a short period. If you were planning on keeping the home it would be worth it as rates are really low right now.

If I am planning to put my house on the market within a few months your recommendation would be the same?

I dont know how anyone can say that it wouldnt be worth it to refinance. With where rates are now, you can get in to a 20 year loan and probably lower your payment or keep it really close to the same. Get prequalified with someone. You are paying a rate that is probably 1.5% - 2% higher than what you can get now on a 20 year.
I would refinance all day long if I were in your shoes.

It is not worth the monies spent to refi! If you make a one extra payment every other month to Principle you can cut the term down.

My Ch 7 BK will be discahrged 3yr
I have about 24 years left on my 30 yr fixed @ 6.875% The pay off is about $53,000. Would it benefit me to refinance? If so, what products would be appropriate for me if I don't want to increase my payments much more than the current P/I of $373.14? My credit score is just over 700. My Ch 7 BK will have been discharged 3 years on 04/29/2011
