You still can purchase a home on a land contract. There are homes out there that do offer land contracts. What are are you looking for? I would be more than happy to help you look for a land contract option. The terms are all different, most require 10-20% down and most of the time  the terms are negotiable. They are out there, I currenlty have a listing that is offering a land comtract option. As many people are self employed or have poor credit this is a great alternative if getting a conventional loan is out of the question.  Check out my website and I hope to hear from you.

It is possible, but very few homes offer land contract terms. Also, the owner who is offering the land contract may want a credit report. So you will have to do a good job of selling yourself to the owner.

A couple of other options would be to get a strong co-signer for a mortgage or look at a lease with option to purchase. With the lease with option to purchase gives you a year to prove your credit worthiness to the owner while building a down payment.

Positive feedback is always appreciated.
