Ultimately the lender can deny any loan modification request...They are not required to modify loans. Having said that my office has successfully been able to get several loans modified after they were initially denied. If you have a legitimate case no harm in contacting your state rep's office and see if they will get behind your case. I have seen 7 such cases that were initially declined, after speaking with the state reps office and having them agree with the plea...The modifications got done.It is no guarantee but I have a feeling when the state reps voice an opinion the banks are listening closely.Tracy,
Please show me just one instance that a borrower was able to do a short refinance...not a loan modification! A Short Refi and Bigfoot have a lot in common....People claim they have gotten them yet no one can poduce any clear evidence to it's existence!
