I would have your agent contact the asset manager to find out the status of your offer. You state that your contract was not filed out correctly. Depending on the nature of the error, HUD may have rejected your offer and accepted another one in it's place. If your agent did receive notification that your offer has been accepted then just to be safe I would start the 45 day count from the date of notification. It will possibly be later than that but no earlier. Good luck on your transaction.

It is no longer available on the MLS website and shows pending on the other websites. I know that they are swamped right now, I just wonder how long they can make me wait. Until I get that contract approved I am not any closer to getting a closing date.

They are extremely slow right now. It took us at least 3 weeks to get our last contract signed. Does it show as pending on the HUD website? Does it show it as pending on your local mls w/your agent as the buyer's agent? If so, then you should okay.

Well it was a Certified Check so I am unable to know if they had deposited it. I thought by paying cash this process would move a whole lot faster. The only feed back that I get is that they are extremely busy and are unable to be reached. I am so fustrated and do not know if I ever want to deal with this process again.

Has HUD deposied your earnest money check? If not you probably do not have a contract. If they have then your 45 day period has probably already started. Check with your selling agent.

My contract was not filled out properly and was suppost to be sent back 3 weeks ago, how much longer
I am 4 weeks into buying my first home threw HUD. I love my real estate agent but this is first HUD home and is unable to get answers. 2 weeks ago we were told that we did not filll out our contract correctly and that it would be sent back by the end of the week. I realized yesterday that the contract is not valid untill accepted so the 45 day closing date will not be in effect untill we get the contract back and signed, so that they can approve it. Please tell me what I can expect on a time frame to close on this house or to at least get approved threw HUD.
