My home has 2 zillow zestimates. Why?

There is an arrow key that allows you to look at 2 zestimates, and they are 30,000  dollars apart.

Looks from your profile that you claimed 2 homes; one on 8/19/10, and one on 8/20/10.  There should be no "arrows" so I'm not sure what you are referring to, but it is possible to have two Z-estimates if the county record info has been duplicated with a second entry that is slightly different.

If that is the case, use the "report a problem" button in the "edit" pull down tab underneath the photo on the home details page with an issue (incorrect county data).  If it is really a duplicate, ask them to remove the redundant entry (record) in the description for the "problem".

If that is not what you are referring to, you can still use the "report a problem" if you see a discrepancy you don't understand.  There are up and down arrows (or + or - signs) indicating estimated change value for a month, and there also is a "-" between two estimate numbers indicating a "range".  The range is calculated from the R^2 value for the curve fit done on the recently sold in the area, and gives some clue how well a curve fit was able to match recently sold data, or how much price fluctuation one can expect.    The estimate is just that; an "estimate"; it doesn't take into account maintenance condition, views, traffic, noise, ceiling heights, roof slopes, type of materials use... some of that may show up in the variables for county assessed value and last sold price & date.

Hi Jenny. Contact Zillow directly as they might not see this blog for a while. Email them directly and ask.  You didn't list your address so I can't see what you are talking about.
