My home is listed for sale with Edina Realty and does not show as For Sale on Zillow.

How do I get that information up on your site?

Contact your listing agent and ask to create a listing for your property on Zillow manually. I'm sure they will be happy to do it for you.

The reason Edina Realty has pulled syndication is due to the inaccuracy of data provided by 3rd party websites, lack of accountability for client's data & accuracy, and policy to sell advertising/leads to other agents whom may not be familiar with the property. Agents at Edina Realty have the option of adding their listings to 3rd party sites if the clients desire. I personally do this after discussing the pros & cons during the listing appointment. The most qualified buyers are already working with an agent, are pre-qualified for loan, and will book a private showings. Some inquires from the web are unqualified buyers whom may not be ready, willing, or able to buy.

As a seller, Edina must be disclosing this decision to sellers that do not allow their listings to be syndicated to all the public sites and their listings will be missing a large number of prospective buyers unless the listing agents are aware of it and list their listings manually to all other public sites like Zillow, Trulia, homes. Com .Realtor.com etc.

Edina Realty who is part of the nation's 4th largest real estate brokerages (Howard Hanna Real Estate Services) has taken a very different approach to marketing their listings since May of 2012.

As a company, they no longer syndicate ANY listings on the internet or to any company's mobile apps.  Their individial agents can manually add them to websites - one by one.  They don't push them out to the mobile apps of other companies either.  They are not even listing properties on Realtor.com which is the public version of the MLS.

Ask your agent to manually put it on as many sydicated sites as possible.  Ther are at least 20 sites that my listings are syndicated to.

The most visited real estate sites are (per Hitwise: based on % of real estate traffic - as of August 2012):
   #1 Zillow
   #2 Yahoo Real Estate
   #3 Realtor.com
   #4 Trulia
   #5 Homes.com
   #6 MSN Real Estate
   #7 AOL Real Estate

You might want to speak with your agent about why they are not giving your listing the opportunity to be seen by as many buyers as possible.  I am not sure what drove their decision, but I've heard that it is so they don't have to pay a buyer's broker for their assistance in selling the property, which has been the tradition in the Twin Cities are for decades.

Edina's listings do not automatically show up on Zillow (they're not BFF with Zillow). Nor do listings come over from the local MLS. Your agent will have to manually input it onto Zillow. Suggest that your agent use Postlets.com to manage the listing and place it on Zillow and many other sites (like Trulia).

Your professional Realtor should add your listing to Zillow, Trulia, Facebook, Craig's List, etc.  Your Realtor's company has withdrawn from a lot of online activities which most of us deem vital to marketing your home.

I think Edina Realty does not shoot their listings automatically out to Zillow, so yes ask them if they want to manually add it.

I had read a while back that Edina offices no longer used Zillow to promote listings so I would check with your agent and ask them if they can manually add your house to Zillow. It is free for them to submit a listing.

First, always contact the listing agent and let them know your concerns, often it takes a few days for all the marketing to get in place
