My home is undervalued on your site. You have it priced $75-100k below same homes on same street.

My home has been valued on Zillow $75k to $100k below other homes EXACTLY like mine on my same street. My home is 2 stories yet it has been valued comparable to single story homes on my street with 500 square feet less living space. I have tried to contact someone at Zillow to remedy this to no avail. Is my only recourse to consult an attorney and take legal action since this may adversely affect my ability to get a fair price sould I decide to sell my home? Help.

at least in our zip (90278) The Zestimate is consistently too high. Homes for sale have a zestimate of 10% higher than their asking price. If that was right, the homes would seel. They are not.

Never forget, the price of a home is the meeting point of a seller willing to sell at the price AND a buyer willing to buy at the price. If there's no buyer, the price is wrong. If there's 1 or more buyers, the price is right.

You home facts are all correct and your house in the same Zestimate range of all of the houses around you. Unfortunately, your zip code is down 19% this as a result of the housing correction. Zillow is not preventing your from selling, but the market is. Filing a lawsuit won't change that. Zillow operates mainly on public record. Many things can affect their number how much you paid when you bought, what your house is assessed at, what is selling in your neighborhood and other sales trends in your area up or down. IF your neighbor bought during the top of the bubble his Zestimate may be higher because his assessment and sales price may be higher He can't sell for his Zestimate because the market won't buy it for that price right now. Zillow is an estimate not an appraisal. The market stinks right now in LA County, not just for you or because of Zillow. All we can do is wait for the market to get better. I hope it is soon, but even if it's not all we can do is wait anyway.
