On the home details page (where you see pictures, taxes etc), you will find "edit" just below the description. Hover your cursor over "edit" and chose "claim your home". Once you've claimed your home you can edit the number of bedrooms, baths etc. Zillow gets their data through third party data providers picking them up from public records. If your public records are wrong, or if a couple of the bedrooms are in the basements, or if a typo occurred in transcription then there can be a home error.

Because no one from Zillow has ever been out to see our home. The software relies on publicly available data and that data can be twice or three times removed from the county record.
The place to look first is the county record. If that is correct ask a local Realtor or appraiser what 3rd party distillers are common in your area. In King County they include Metroscan and Reallist. If these are incorrect, it will be difficult to get them changed but this may be where Zillow is getting their information.
Just below the property description is an Edit menu and on that menu is a link to Report a Problem with Home. You can talk directly to Zillow staff there and they may be able to adjust it for you.

Sometimes it's where the other bedrooms are located. If it's a reno attic space or a basement that gives you the added footage you should check you certificate of occupancy.

My house is a 5 bedroom house, as listed in my home appraisal. Why does Zillow say it's a 3 bedroom?
