You can't really. Have you checked to make sure all the facts about your home are accurate on the Zestimate? Changing any errors would help, possibly. There have been 30 or 40 arguments about this issue in the last two weeks. The Zestimate is not an appraisal. It is a statistical guess. Zillow doesn't really care if it is "right". They will say it is just their opinion.
You can try to contact a Zillow customer service person, they may help, they may not.
Here's one of them's contact page.

A Zestimate is just and estimate of the value. It is not an appraisal. They value posted is the middle of a possibly range of value. You can learn more at this link. http://www.zillow.com/wikipages/What-is-a-Zestimate/
Hope this helps answer your question.

It would make more sense if they would ask first before posting a "Zestimate". TThis appears to be an irresponsible act. This could effect the sale of a house without them having the proper effects. Why should a contractor defaulting on a spec house have an effect on someone who owns (out right) a house next door? If I had known this before, I would never have listed with Zillow. My "Bad".

They are a media company, whatever that means. I think, they think they are the "press". Your ownership info is public. They harvest it, run it through their computer algorithm, and post their opinion (Zestimate) as if it were "news". It doesn't feel right to me either.

Zestimates, seem to be treated as holy objects here on zillow...........even though consumers are advised they are only "starting points' and guesses, at best.
You can't change a zestimate or have it removed.
What you can do, however, which might help to improve your valuation is......bring up the listing ...and CLAIM the house as your own.
Scroll down and Edit where you can........ fill in any spaces where you may comment on improvements, special features, etc.
If nothing else, when, or if, someone pulls up your home, the information you provide will be there for them to see.
I did this for my own home.
You can also edit incorrect information.........for example - Zillow had my home listed as a single family home, when, in fact, it is a townhome (condominium) connected to one other unit.
I am not a fan of zesrimates.........and don't see their usefullness...........considering how many anti zestimate comments are posted here on a daily basis - I dont think I am alone.
Good luck!

No you are not alone - there are lot's of homeowners who are disgusted by the intrusive and inaccurate zestimates imposed on their homes without any responsibility for the consequences by money grabbing websites like zillow. Time they were properly regulated in the same way as most other companies that impact peoples daily lives, or allowed home =owners to opt out of a zestimate if the valuation shown is incorrect

My house is undervalued on Zillow - I have a recent appraisal. How do I correct this error
