Review your lease in detail. You have rights and need to know them. You should see in the lease a time frame in this situation.

I would view your states tenant laws with an attorney. All states are different, but tenants have rights. Sometimes more than the landlords! Typically if you have a lease, that lease must be honored until the end. So if he sells the property, the new owner would have to agree to become your landlord.

Did you sign a lease? Where are located? Check your lease and also check with an attorney. Most leases state that a lockbox can be placed on the property the last ___ days of the lease (normally 30-60 days). Also if you signed a lease the new owner (again check with an attorney) should have to honor the current lease - current rate and all.
As long as you have a lease you have several rights, especially regarding showings and people being in your home. Without one I am not sure what rights you would have. Good luck...I can not stress enough, check with an attorney (we are Realtors not attorneys!)
