Your question can't be answered without seeing the lease. Most leases have a "holdover" clause. That's what defines what happens after the original lease term.

In general, yes. When most leases I have read "expire", they roll to a month to month tenancy with all the same rules/conditions as the original lease term. Read your lease to be sure what it says.
