You may have an option, have you looked up your address on Fannie Mae's or Freddie Mac's website? What do you think the value is and what is the loan balance?

I would definitely check to see if Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac owns your loan. You can simply call customer service of your lender to find that out. If one of the entities owns your loan there are a couple of underwater programs to choose from to help you get to a fixed rate.

I told you every time I see you post Leaseback I would post a link to Leaseback scams and equity stripping. Convince me they are not a scam!
I can be very persistant...and even more annoying! just ask Rudi..I am pretty sure he will agree that I am both!

Your a great candidate for the new Leaseback program. You retain ownership in your home and it adjusts your monthly payments for the new market value.

You need to try your current lender and see if you qualify for one of the many special programs out there for underwater borrowers.
