Neighborhoods w/big trees and bicycle friendly for first-time buyer in Boise?

North End out of our range but wd like 'mature landscaping,' quiet locale and streets friendly for biking (esp. to useful things like food/library/parks/trails), lot with some privacy and room to garden in Boise, under 100K.

I just reviewed the list of homes and found a huge home for this price range with mature trees.  It is nearly 2,000 sq. ft. with 4 bedrooms on almost a half acre in SW Boise not too far from the Ada County Library.

The north end definitely comes to mind when you started but it is tough for under $100k.  Keep in mind there are potential grant programs and low to moderate income loans and second mortgages that might let you qualify for more than you think while keeping your payments in line still!

Another area is NW Boise, some West Boise areas and the Bench area.  Most of the newer homes in Meridian sprouted out of farm ground recently so the trees typically are still pretty small.

I just pulled up 58 three bedroom 2 bath minimum homes in Ada County that are not listed as "Short Sales" that are priced under $100k!  I just sold a really nice Fannie Mae REO yesterday that was $99k.

My suggestion is to get on an automated email service and then review properties online and drive by to see what is out there.  I would be glad to assist if you haven't already selected a real estate Broker.
