Why not?
"Under the proposal, which would not apply to roads to Vermont or Maine, the state's other two neighbors, the New Hampshire Transportation Department would post signs reading "Warning: Massachusetts Border 500 Feet."" Then it should continue with "Turn around before it is to late."
The more friendly states do not need warning signs. That says something.
What I do not understand is how the interstate commerce clause has not been used to stop the reasons for the signs being put up.
Maine has a sign for tourists. It says "Welcome to Maine" As I understand it there is a bucket close by that says "place your money here then turn around and go home."

"turn around before it's too late..."
LOL I wish the sign heading into one particular state had said that before I crossed the border. Tiffany you're almost a lawyer, who can I sue?

@sunny
I would call a lawyer who was responsible for things like my hairdryer's warning not to "use while sleeping," or my curling iron that says not to use "while in the bathtub."

Maine is a quirky place. I do enjoy it here immensely, and I love how festive it is around Christmas. However, it is definitely a place where if you are "from away," away had better not be Mass or NJ left you get a stink eye. Being from Seattle people sort of shrug and say "oh, that's like here but the other side."
There should be a sign on our nation's capital saying "warning, crossing into a zero productivity zone."

Contributions:3010New Hampshire drivers who unwittingly cross the border now may find themselves breaking Massachusetts law, said Jennifer Coffey, a New Hampshire state representative from Andover, about 70 miles north of the state line.
