I have not seen any post regarding new homes in peninsula bay area so thought to ask some questions regarding the same.
I am thinking to buy our first home and liked the homes in KB home's preserve community (http://www.kbhome.com/Community~CommID~00650485.aspx). I came to know about one disclosure which has mentioned that "there will be 2.5 feet settlement over the 50 years time" i.e.. The home is going to sink 2 and a half feet in 50 years. But when I went there to check the homes, I found that lots of home were already sold out and many families have moved in and living there. My concern is about the bay mud and Liquefaction which will always pose some danger and this community community is developed over the land relcaimed from the bay.
Foster City is an adjoining city to Redwood Shores and - considering both the cities were marsh land 40-50 years back is it fair to compare homes in Foster city and Redwood shores. I know that thousands of people live in Foster City and Redwood Shores but reading above disclosure has made me little uncomfortable to pursue my search in these cities.
