New "Zillow Search Box" widget does not perform properly when setting the option to- users' location

Continually defaults to Seattle as the bottom city text, and the area map displays where the developer is located instead of the users' location area map.

Hi again Matt.

My preference is to use the widgets created by Zillow.  However, the mapping function still appears to have issues as noted by others.  This can be simply viewed when attempting to create a widget here:  http://www.zillow.com/webtools/widgets/map-widget.htm

Hey Paul - I'm afraid we're already stuck with the "rid" values and it's too late to change them. If you wanted, you could probably mash up our API with the widget code variables.

Hi Matt - apparently (after reading other posts) there are numerous mapping issues.  Someone not happy inside and attempting to destroy Zillow?  They're doing a great job of it!

Hi Matt!

I notice the issue is being addressed.  Here's a quirk when using GEO coding. Most IP pulls come from an ISP that might or might mot be near the user.  Is there a way to use a zip code as a variable so the same script can be used across 280 different websites?  None of the widgets offer that function from a mapping standpoint because of a different "rid" value assigned to a each zip code.  Would be MUCH easier to use the widgets if the "rid" was the same value as the zip code.

Thanks,

Paul
