Interesting to check out all the new stuff. Although, when I look at the leaderboard thing where it says the top people, then myself underneath, it says zero reviews. You seeing the same thing?

Love it lots! It's awesome, so much more informative. Kat, yes, I noticed that too, maybe it's a bug.

If you look at your profile Kat, they are still there

Great new tool, but I too was unable to locate myself. Zillow may have a few bugs to work out.

DavidG, how do I buy a spot?
Interesting, when I search California I can't find myself either. The top rated in California is none other than out friend Bedig. That would sort of stink to not even be listed when people search by location.

Hi everyone. Rob, you can't buy a spot. It's all free!
We are still working on some data issues. I'd encourage you all to go edit your profiles to make sure they're accurate. We gather more information now than we did yesterday.
Kirstin, how do I remove "San Diego" as an area? I just want it to say California and Arizona but it keeps defaulting back to San Diego.

I thought I got an email about buying a spot. To me it did not seem too cost effective as an individual zip code was like $25 a month (or something like that) Was that something different Kristin...

Jcaf, the 'spot' you are talking about is a business card sized floating card that has your pic of it and 3 lines of minimal info for $25. It shows up under whatever zip codes you put in. The more zip codes, the less times it's actually seen/clicked on. I did it twice, once in my zip code only 80906, then once in 25 or so various zip codes between Colorado Springs and Denver. I received more clicks on the one for 80906 then the one with various zips. Although I received clicks, I never received any contact from the cicks. So it was $50 for really nothing.

I wondered that myself when I saw that! Doesn't it make you feel important!

That is soooo cool! Yeah, it appears they're still working on some bugs, but when it starts working the way they/we want, how awesome will that be?

Karen - will you post some guidelines as to how the service areas covered, neighborhoods and local lender list functions interrelate? E.g., if we want to be seen on the local lender list, what can we expect from that - how are the names sorted, in what priority? and if we're not there now, how do we make sure we're represented? And how does a user search on that local lender list?

Do they put us on that list automatically? Or do we have to resign up? Looks like if you do, it's the usual few days for reapproval.
Appreciate your comments.

Great questions!
If you have a profile on Zillow.com you will automatically be put in the directory. You won't have to sign up again. If you changed any contact information, it will take you back to lender confirmation. Just send me a quick email and I can check on the confirmation.
Please give us some time to work on some of the other questions.

By chance am I one of the bugs? I can't find me anywhere.
Nida,
Also add to the list that on the "find a pro" page, it lists me as a buyers, sellers agent. No where have I ever listed that and I looked in my profile and edited it to make sure those boxes were not checked, and they are not. Yet, it still says I'm an agent.
Bug?

If the purpose of the "Find a Pro" feature is to locate local professionals, I don't think it's working. I searched a couple of my local zip codes and it was full of out of state lenders who quote here.

Rob I found you when I typed in Rob and your zip code. You are second on the list. Let me know if you still can't find it.
Gregorio - this is a bug and we are looking into this.
khancockloans - When searching for local professionals you will find those who can provide service in that area.
If I put in a specific city such as "Capitola" or "Aptos", I'm getting every lender in California regardless of what areas they service. Is this one of the bugs that's getting sorted out?

I think it goes by who is licensed in that state... if you are licensed in CA you can service those areas.
I had a different experience searching on the agent side. If I put in a specific city such as "Capitola" or "Aptos", I primarily get agents that are right there in that local area. (Not all the agents licensed in California). I believe that serves the consumer well to find an agent or lender directly in their immediate area.

Nida, how about adding a category for "Best Looking" so I can at least just 1x be at the top for lenders instead of Greg Darlin?

Just sayin......

New stuff!
Hey, so how do you all like the changes around here? It looks like people will be able to locate local professionals- so that's cool! I like the new layout for consumers... very nice... when the rest of you guys get back, post your thoughts too ;)
