Heat tape will be useful to keep them from freezing again. Freezing cracks pipes so the plumber needs to be around as the current frozen pipes are thawed. There are a number of preventative measures when it is very cold, such as leaving taps dripping and having all cupboard doors open if pipes are in an outside wall. (It doesn't require that the hot water tank be on).

My mom bought some heat tapes so they should work. We do have 7 jugs of water but thank you for the advice. Belinda Florida is not the answer, I wouldn't even move there because of killings & slavery. Where ever people live there will be frozen pipes without thinking of leaving hot water on during the night, I just found out that our whole stupid neighborhood has frozen pipes. Our landlord is way too old to do anything, he just got over some kind of cancer & is losing his memory, he's on the verge of death, he's in his 80's but we do have a plumber that works 4 him. Yes this place is a rental & a trailer home.

You might be able to unfreeze them yourself if you are careful. There are instructions here. Once you get the water going again you have to insulate them so they won't refreeze.
If this is a rental, you need to send a written notice to the landlord telling them that you have been without water for three days. Pretty much every state requires landlords to provide heat and water here Hope it helps.

Don't wait. Get the pipes fixed as soon as possible. As water freezes it expands and the expansion occuring in your pipes could cause them to burst. (Even more annoying than frozen pipes.)
Try better insulating the pipes in the future or keep the heat on a minimum setting at all times.
Good luck! I hope this is rectified soon!

I'm not exactly sure what the question is. Frozen pipes are a real bother.

if you live in a mobile home it's a good idea to brush up on your own plumbing skills. it's going to be an ongoing thing. if your heater is still off it might have a problem too. not sure how cold it is but I wouldn't keep waiting for it to get warm to solve your problem. Not sure what reason it is that you don't have water- are you on a well? wells require electricity to pump water to the house and pressure tanks to keep the pressure up. if you don't own the home, get on the phone with the landlord. Good luck...going without water is not fun.
No water for 3 days
