Old foreclosure?

Profile picture for calliefcr
I have a 740+ credit score with 160k income (8 years on the job). I lost my job 9 years ago and went through foreclosure. It no longer appears on my credit score, but will this impact my ability to get a loan? I'd like to buy something in the 450k range.

Shouldn't be a probelm, beyond 7 years you should qualify for the same terms as any other ideal applicant.

there are lenders that will still help you- you'll want to just visit with them one on one rather than share too much info here.  There will be other factors that may have an impact, but 9 yr old foreclosure is a workable thing.  The key will be to educate yourself and plan your budget and check out rates etc.
